2023 Hope for the Journey Conference
The adoption journey does not end on the day a child is welcomed home; in fact, the journey is just beginning. Children impacted by adoption and/or foster care have often experienced early attachment injuries related to loss, abuse, trauma, and/or neglect. There is hope and help, though. Whether you are in the adoption process, have welcomed a child home through adoption, or are loving and serving children through foster care, you are not alone.
Hope for the Journey is designed to encourage and equip parents and caregivers meeting the everyday needs of children impacted by adoption and/or foster care. With the busy parent and caregiver in mind, the Hope for the Journey Conference is an on-demand viewing experience, making the conference easily accessible with information that is practical, succinct, and consumable in its delivery. The conference is also a much-needed resource for churches, agencies, and organizations in their care and support of the families and communities they serve.
With new faces, new stories, and new insight, the 2023 Hope for the Journey Conference will structurally mirror previous conferences with five high-level, more focused learning modules as well as opportunities to go deeper on select topics within each module topic. You will also hear from families and individuals impacted by adoption and/or foster care—whether as parents or adult adoptees and foster care alumni. And finally, the Hope for the Journey Conference will also continue to build on the principles of Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) and how those principles intersect with our faith.
